How to Log off WiFi

NB: Please be advised Pop-ups must be activated before logging in.

  1. Once logged in a pop-up window will appear with a button enabling log out. If this pop up window does not appear then these are the three options...
  2. The session will automatically time out and log off after 5 minutes of inactivity however chat programs amongst other internet utilities often keep the connection active so this is not a reliable method and does not provide confirmation.
  3. Disable the wireless on the laptop or unplug the network connection (which ever method is being used to connect) – this will mean the 5 minute inactivity timer will definitely log out the session after 5 minutes
  4. Shut down the machine - this will mean the 5 minute inactivity timer will definitely log the session out after 5 minutes
